Meet Lucy
I'm Lucy — a qualified, insured counsellor based in Studley, Warwickshire. I believe that everyone deserves a space to be truly heard. Whatever has brought you here, I'm glad you've taken this step.
About Lucy
I'm Lucy — a mum to two wonderful daughters and three equally wonderful cats. My path into the mental health field began many years ago, shaped by watching people I care about struggle and realising just how limited support can be when it's most needed. That experience sparked a passion in me to be part of the solution.
I've worked with both adults and children and young people across a range of settings, including supported living, specialist education environments, charities, and children's services. These varied roles have given me a deep understanding of the different ways people experience challenges, and the many routes we can take toward healing and growth.
Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me out on a walk, enjoying good food, getting lost in a book, or spending time with my lovely family.
Sessions are tailored entirely to your pace, your needs, and your goals. There's no agenda other than yours — no rush, no judgement.
From supported living to specialist education and children's services, Lucy's work spans many settings — giving her a rich understanding of human experience.
Lucy is a qualified, insured counsellor offering individual sessions to adults in a warm, confidential setting in Studley, Warwickshire.
Your Journey
Your journey begins with a 30-minute consultation. This first meeting gives us space to talk about what has brought you to therapy and the challenges you're currently facing. We'll explore some of the experiences that may have contributed to how you're feeling today.
Together, we'll start to understand the patterns that might be keeping things stuck. We'll also look at the resources and strengths you already have — your support network, personal qualities, and anything else that can help you move forward.
From our conversations, we'll create a collaborative formulation — a shared, working document that helps us make sense of your difficulties, guides the direction of therapy, and helps us set meaningful goals so you get the most from your sessions.
How I Work
I don't believe one size fits all when it comes to therapy. People are different, their experiences are different, and what helps one person may not help another. That's why I work integratively — drawing on different therapeutic styles and adapting how I work to what feels right for you.
What that means in practice is that our sessions won't follow a rigid formula. If something isn't working, we change it. If a particular approach resonates with you, we lean into it. You're not here to fit my way of working — my way of working adapts to fit you.
At the heart of everything though is the relationship between us. Feeling genuinely heard and accepted — without judgement, without agenda — is often where the real work begins.
The sessions offer you a space where you can speak freely. You can speak freely, knowing you will always be met with compassion and respect.
No two people are the same. The pace, focus, and methods of each session are shaped entirely around your unique needs and circumstances.
As well as exploring difficulties, we identify and build on the resources and resilience you already carry — often more than you realise.
We'll set meaningful goals together and track your progress, ensuring therapy remains relevant and effective at every stage of your journey.
Endings & Beyond
When you feel ready to bring your therapy sessions to a close, we'll take time to talk this through together and make sure the ending feels thoughtful and well-supported. We'll reflect on the work you've done, the themes we've explored, and the changes you've experienced along the way.
If it feels helpful, we can create a summary document that captures the key insights and strategies you've developed. This can serve as a personal resource to revisit whenever you need a reminder of what supports you during more challenging times.
Therapy doesn't have to be a one-time journey. You're always welcome to return in the future if you feel additional support would be beneficial.
"We'll reflect on the work you've done, the themes we've explored, and the changes you've experienced along the way."
Endings are a meaningful part of the therapeutic process — a chance to acknowledge how far you've come and to feel confident stepping forward. There's no pressure, and no goodbye that isn't ready to be said.
